Is it just me, or is Bee Movie about conforming because "big brother" knows better than you?

Maybe I’m looking too much into this, but I was really surprised by the ending of the movie. He doesn’t want to conform, so he doesn’t, everything goes wrong, and everything goes back to how it was going to be in the beginning.

You could certainly see it that way. I enjoyed the movie, and saw the outcome more as, “Ah, I guess there is a rightness in the way things work.” I see how you could read big brother into that… But I don’t.

yea i took it as almost an environmental thing. like, “the natural way is the best way, so don’t interfere with nature to make it better”, or something. But who knows, it does have some conformity messaging. But conforming is not a bad thing in itself, and I think that’s the point. It only becomes a problem when it comes before beliefs.
