Image-specific RSS feed reader?

Asked by gcoghill (139points) October 26th, 2008

I am curious if there are any RSS feed readers created specifically for browsing image/photography feeds like http://ffffound.com and http://vi.sualize.us

I tried doing this in iPhoto (since iPhoto lets you subscribe to image RSS feeds) but iPhoto just downloads the images and doesn’t even let you delete from that feed album.

A desktop app would be preferred (Mac) but online would be cool as well. I’d like to be able to bunch the feeds together as a group and just be able to browse a gallery with thumbnails instead of checking each image post in my RSS reader.

If there’s a way to do this with Google Reader that would be cool too.

Feedly might be an excellent choice to consider. It works great as Firefox, Chrome, and Safari 5 extensions. Image RSS feeds will show up in a magazine style layout with image thumbnail previews. You can also create groups for different RSS feeds, so you can browse several feeds together.

Feedly works perfectly with Google Reader and can import all your feeds in seconds.
