I am considering having my remaining ovary removed due to painful cysts and going on hormone replacement therapy- has anyone been in a similar situation and how did it go?

If you do hormone replacement do bio identical hormones. Premarin made me crazy!

I have heard that from some older women I know. I lost the other one several years ago to a burst cyst and almost bled to death. my major concern is that I am only 32 years old and will have to be on them for a long time. I have one child and the pregnancy pretty much had every major complication. Due to the hormone changes I had severe morning sickness the entire time and was in the hospital. I have no idea what type of reaction will occur if I decide to do this. thank-you for your suggestion I will research those.

Hmmm… I don’t know what to answer your question madsmom1030…

However, I am 26 and I have a cyst in one of my ovaries… I still need more check ups in order to find out if I should have it surgically removed. I have been receiving hormone shots to reduce the size of the cyst and on my last test the results were ok…the cyst shrunk a bit that is why i’m continuing with the hormone shots. in a few months i’ll have another test to see if there are any improvements. please help me pray that everything will turn out fine so they don’t need to cut me up. thank you!
