Cute that you celebrate “month” anniversaries. The sexiest and cheapest thing would be to make a simple dinner and share it by candle light.

If you’re ambitious… Print out a few pictures, go to Michael’s and buy MOD PODGE, a cheap brush and one of their wooden crafts, like a toy chest, picture frame, a plain board, anything small, and some paint if you’re feeling adventurous. Go home, read the instructions on the mod podge, or google it and follow them. It takes almost no artistic taent, just thoughtfulness. All you really have to do is slap on the pictures in a nice way and make a pretty collage.

You’ll have a cute personalized gift she can put up somewhere in sight for a long time. My sister did this for a friend once and it went over very well. And I’ve shown some of my friends how to do it for their SO’s.

I don’t think it’s necessary to celebrate anything but six month markers, so really, flowers and dinner would suffice.

Learn to bake something chocolate for her. Guys that can bake good chocolate chip cookies or brownies get serious boyfriend points.

decoupage is great, asmonet. I used to do that stuff all the time… when I had time that wasn’t slated for sleeping or working.

@poof: Yeah, I know what you mean. I should have mentioned that it was mre of an afternoon project, you should devote a few hours to it, johnjohn.

Welcome to the collective. Make her something that shows you have come to know her in the five months and value her. You could also write and draw (or paste cut-out pictures) a comic book of your life before and after she came into it. You know, a vaste wasteland vs. a wonderful lush happy place.

MAKE HER A FLUTE OUT OF A PAPER TOWEL ROLL, THEN PLAY HER A SONG THAT YOU WROTE JUST FOR HER.
