The cost of sanity, in this society, is a certain level of alienation.

.

If the words ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ don’t include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn’t worth the hemp it was written on.

.

I thought about it, a few years actually, and I decided that meaning and language are two different things. And that what the alien voice in the psychedelic experience wants to reveal is the syntactical nature of reality. That the real secret of magic is that the world is made of words, and that if you know the words that the world is made of you can make of it whatever you wish.

Yesterday is already a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But every day well lived
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Blue, that is a great quote. Thanks for sharing it.

My mom always told us, “oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive”.

I also heard a quote from H. Clinton when asked if she would run again for presidency she said probably not, sometimes “one must bloom where they are planted” and her intentions were to continue to do her best at being a senator.

“There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won’t agree with every decision or policy I make as president. And we know the government can’t solve every problem.

But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And, above all, I will ask you to join in the work of remaking this nation, the only way it’s been done in America for 221 years—block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.”

—Last night, Obama’s acceptance speech.

“This is our time, to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth, that, out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope. And where we are met with cynicism and doubts and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes, we can. ”

From the same speech.

Barack Obama is probably the most inspiring man I have ever had the joy to hear speak. His speech sent shivers down my spine and made my cry with joy. And those two segments were two of the most inspiring portions I think.

with every death askew there is yet life being born anew, with every loss suffered, there is victory bought, with every dream shattered, there is always yet one that truly mattered. The one that does is yet your own, for no one known can take it, that dream you bear….is yours alone – Wrestlemaniac3(me)

May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
