Are you even phased by the Market at this point?

Asked by EmpressPixie (14760points) November 6th, 2008

Are you even phased when the Dow drops something like 450 or 500 points by now? Or do you see that and think, “eh, what again?”?

Empress: I think you mean “fazed,” as in “disturbed” or “disconcerted.” Yes? if so, I am unsettled but prepared to ride things out for a year or so.

You are correct, ma’am!

But if the market causes you to go from, I don’t know, mostly liquid to mostly gaseous, I’d like to know that as well!

@EP No I don’t let it get to me….I just keep on, keepin’ on….

Well I wasn’t phased by it until I reapplied for my next student loan and saw that instead of my 6.5% interest rate I was quoted 14%. I would assume the market has something to do with it :( .

Battlemarz.. thats a crazy increase.

I try to keep it out of my mind until graduation. No sense in worrying about it and putting more stress on myself.

I just keep putting in buy orders. My investing has always been focused on long term. I’ve learned enough to know that what goes down generally goes back up.

@battlemarz; That sounds like a huge increase in interest. Is there someone to talk with?
(Remember to stick with your English classes-it’s fazed.)

I figure we’re in for a wild ride for a while yet. Just trying to hang on to what we’ve got.
