yes it would be, the highest stats i've seen for home is 700kbps which is really low my cable i believe is around 3.5mbps

I had satellite for a short time; it is a good alternative to dialup, but in now way compares to cable or dsl. I don't really recommend it. a.) it is pretty slow b.) clouds much less storms would knock it out b.) if you exceed a quota it cuts you back to 56k for up to 8 hours.

If you have a choice, go with cable or dsl.
