Gelato or Ice Cream?

Asked by judochop (16119points) November 10th, 2008

Ahhh the goodness of Gelato and its array of flavors but wait, there is the good old fashioned taste of ice cream and a sugar cone. Who wins the fight between the two?

Gelato is good for a change but ice cream rules.

I didn’t even know there was gelato until a few years ago, so it’s always kind of fancy and exotic to me. Plus, my first date with my husband was over some coconut gelato, and that pretty much beats out all the childhood nostalgia, so yeah, gelato wins.

oh lord, gelato is delicious
and definitely wins

It really, really depends on the situation and mood. Like, sometimes after a trip to the beach your good old fashioned ice cream in a cone wins hands down, but then there’s the times where you just feel like something icy and fresh and zesty… mmm gelato.

How ‘bout Gelato on a Sugar Cone?

blondie411's avatar

as long as i can get it in a cone!! the best part of any frozen treat is the cone in my opinion!

Pistachio and salted caramel gelato or chocolate ice cream or minty chocolate chip frozen yogurt. It depends on the flavor I want.

Italian Gelato made in Italy :)

Gelato is a delicious treat from time to time, but I often fall back on my favorite ice cream, vanilla with chocolate sticks inside. Mmm.

Gelato that is really Italian. I have been to Italy and Gelato is awesome! Not American Gallato, Gèlato! (and there isn’t even an accent mark over the e).
In Las Vegas, I have been to the Venetian and they serve Gelato $8 for a tiny scoop! Go to Building #19 or something and you could get ½ gallon of that stuff for $8! and I hate building #19 food just keep that in mind
