Seahorse and ketchup.

Also, pickles and ice cream.

Chocolate covered bacon. It’s really not so weird when you think about it. Salty/sweet is a killer combination.

Peanutbutter and mayonaise sandwhich. I know I know, some people really like it, but it totally grosses me out!

Oh, oh, I used to love PBLTs. Peanut butter, bacon, lettuce and tomato. My Dad and I would eat them. Hmmm, I am seeing somewhat of a “bacon” theme emerging here.

I love buttermilk, and after that I like a pickle to snack on.

Getting away from bacon for just a second, we were served an odd dessert at a very
fancy restaurant in northern Spain: homemade chocolate blancmange (okay, pudding) with olive oil and sea salt. This was a few years ago, before we knew you were supposed to like chocolate and salt together. The kicker was the olive oil….

Tuna salad sandwich dipped in applesauce is a killer combo to me.

I’m sure it was probably something I ate while either in Germany two years ago or on our cruise 7 years ago.

Two things come to mind. As a teen, my friend’s mom used to buy canned goods without labels because they were cheaper. It made it quite a challenge to pick a midnight snack. One night we grabbed two cans, knowing we would have to eat it no matter what. Turned out to be saurkraut and pears.

The other one is a new doughnut shop in town that makes a maple bacon doughnut. Pretty good – it tastes like having a pancake and bacon.
