Just a question for clarification—by “bar mitzvah” are you referring to Bar Mitzvah ceremonies/parties or to 13 year old Jewish males? A Jewish boy is considered “Bar Mitzvah” (son of the commandments) when he turns 13, whether he celebrates it with a religious service and/or party, or not.

Bar and Bat – total

My question is whether you are referring to Bar/Bat celebrations, or to Jewish kids turning 12/13 (girls/boys, respectively). I’m just trying to point out that Jewish kids become Bar/Bat Mitzvah (responsible for their actions) at that age, whether it is marked by a celebration and/or religious ceremony or not. My guess is that you are talking about the parties?

Do you have either stat? I have none.

I don’t have the stats, but I will get back to you if I find them. You can start with the rough estimate that there are about 6 million Jews in the USA.
