Why are all my 'hidden' applications still visible when I switch tasks?

Asked by andrew (16543points) November 21st, 2008

I have a few ‘hidden’ applications that launch on startup (skitch, quicksilver, etc). In my startup items, they’re marked as ‘hide’. Yet, when I command-tab, they still show up! What gives?

command tab show all open applications so you can command q to quit any. The hidden apps are open just not shown.

I never saw quicksilver before on my command-tab list, though.

I always have QS running and it isn’t in my command+tab. Other than that they should still be in your cmd+tab whether they’re hidden or not because it just shows everything that’s running. QS being there is a weird one.
