isnt there any way to tighten the ten speed chain?

Its about 10–25 bucks to buy one, they stretch and aren’t worth taking a link or 2 out.

If you insist. Examine the chain there is one link called the master link pop it off,remove one link and pop it back together.

The master link has a cotter pin looking clasp on the side of it.

Master links usually only come with certain brands of chain, most notably SRAM chains. Otherwise you need a chain tool to break the chain.

Generally, when the chain stretches to the point where the derailleur can’t handle all of the slack that means that it is stretched enough to mess up your cogs as well.

A couple people here recommend removing links, and they may actually be right since if you try to put a new (non-stretched) chain on, it might not fit your now-worn cog-sprocket. Maybe you should’ve replaced the chain before it got that bad.
