PC: Excel Versions & Vista?

Asked by Carol (731points) December 2nd, 2008

I’d like to purchase Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. However I’m wondering if the box labeled Windows Vista / XP is just for Vista or it runs on both Vista and XP (which is what I have.) I don’t want to buy it and find out that it won’t run on my computer.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Office 2007 runs on both XP and Vista just like the box says. It won’t run on any other version of windows which is why the box only says XP and Vista.

Or if you prefer a free solution…. openoffice.org is for you. Fully functional, Fully free.

I already have openoffice.org and its behaving quite badly if I say so myself.
Its transferring the headers to the last page I clicked on and transfers god knows what to any new page header. That’s why I’d like to try excel.
