Is ZFS compelling enough to introduce [Open]Solaris into our intranet at work?

We’ve got lots to store between mail, documents, and images. As we move into the TB range, I worry a lot about using commodity hardware (SATA) and the associated checksum errors. ZFS seems like the future, but won’t be part of Linux anytime soon (because of license issues, of all things!).
