Can you film the police in the uk in public?

Asked by tiptoptommy (11points) September 4th, 2007

What are the rules on this because two police officers stopped my friend from filming them being aggresive to some dude. They made him delete it.

with current “anti-terror” laws, it’s hard to say. generally, it is legal to film anyone in a public place without their permission. in the united states, it is certainly legal to film the police, and police officers often illegally harass citizens who do so.
