Is there a movie like this?

Asked by queenzboulevard (2551points) December 16th, 2008

I don’t think this would be in my head unless I have seen a movie like this before. The narrator is the main character who is reading/writing out loud a letter the entire movie; the end of the movie being the end of the letter. I don’t think you’re supposed to know it’s a letter until the end, though.

Any movies like this? I suppose it could be a TV episode, too.

Is it a romance/action/adventure/horror/comedy? alot of movies/tv shows follow that format, more info if available please…

I would say drama. Name as many as you know because I honestly have no clue, it just came into my head as something I have seen before and I cannot think of anything.

Was Boondock Saints in the form of a letter?

@tyrantxseries Stranger than fiction was read by the author of a book. It wasn’t really in the form of a letter. Also most of those films have a narrator, but are not read in the form of a letter.

I know, I’m trying to jog queenzboulevard memory, some movies might be close to or way off, writing letters/books/reports, sometimes helps you remember more about that movie your trying to remember.

Atonement?

any idea what was going on in the movie? anything at all? was it a war? were there love scenes? killings? ghosts? anything at all you remember? I can think several movies like that, but not really one that is a letter. Actually not sure now. Need to think more.
