Do you know what this Bollywood movie is?

Asked by dynamicduo (14392points) December 16th, 2008

Alright, my partner is trying to find the name of a certain Bollywood movie, but the only thing he knows about it is one scene, albeit an epic and memorable one. Here it is:

It’s some kind of chase sequence, where a car jumps over a train while a horse (presumably with a man riding it) slides UNDER the train, and of course the chase continues afterwards.

No kidding epic scene! Anyway, I’m hoping a movie buff will remember what movie this is from so that we can watch it and bask in its glory! :D

well. that’s really not much to go by. how old is the movie? when did he watch it? anything else, anything at all…even a dialogue that he remembers? I am guessing it’s an older movie just because of the horse but who knows. Also, in Bollywood, that’s really not considered an epic scene lol. Heroes are shot about 20 times and yet they stand perfectly still and beat up 10 healthy guys. That’s Bollywood reality :P

Like I said there’s nothing else we know about it, else I would have included it :) He never saw the movie, the scene was told to him by a friend.

I did a bit of research and I’ve found this scene which might very well be the scene that he was told about, of course no train but a truck is close enough. So now the question becomes, what movie is this? It seems the actor featured is Chiranjeevi and Wikipedia has a list of movies he’s been in, but it’s a big list! But hopefully this info helps narrow things down a bit.

Even if the linked scene is not the one he was told about, I’d be interested in finding that movie’s title, because that scene was awesome! :D

Ok. That clip is most definitely not Bollywood. It’s Tollywood, i.e. a movie in Telugu. (Bollywood is Hindi movies). I believe that movie is Alluda Mazaaka.

Personally, I would have to be paid good money to sit through that movie haha. It also didn’t seem to do well at the box office. But hopefully it’s the one you are looking for! :)

Edit: Also, I found the same clip with the movie name as further support to my answer.

Thanks for your input PnL! Especially with the Tollywood/Bollywood distinction which I had not known about prior to my research and your comment. Now I’ve gotta track that movie down, wish me luck! :)
