When I go to check my AOL mail, it says "Mailbox not available due to temporary maintenance." Is this something others have experienced?

Usually when I check my AOL it’s when I’m at work.

AOL took the mail server offline for site maintenance. It’s nothing new. All websites do this every once and awhile. To go a little off topic, Fluther went offline for site maintenance last night for a little bit.

I am having same problem and it is NOT due to server maintenance. This has been happening almost continuously on just one of my AOL accts for several days now. AOL has not responded. I have tried going onto AOL thru other routes and following the customary AOL suggestion on removing cookies and cleaning out cache.

It is not unusual for a server to go down for maintenance, however this is not the cause in this case.

Anyone have a suggestion. PLEASE HELP. Most of my important mail is locked where it can be previewed but not read.

Thank you.

I too am having this problem on my MAC. On my PC, with aol desktop, no problem getting on. But on the MAC I can’t get on. I suppose I should check my PC using the web-based aol and see if I have the problem to see if it is web-based or mac-based. but it certainly isn’t “routine Maintenance”
