I have. I was driving down the road and then the next thing i know I could see myself and my family going down the road in the car. it scared me at first. I had to pull over and let my hubby drive. I thought I was going to die if I continued to drive. i thought it might be a hint from God.

I did once back in high school but I was REALLY high at the time. It was kinda the same thing as rossi.

rossi_bear's avatar

@sakata.. i wasn’t high but it was really something that can’t be explained is it. Just really weird!! And scary!!! that was the first time. I have had a few since then but if I tell them they might be taken off here. They were kind of violent. someone was after me this time I am speaking of.

Awesome. Post it up.

ok I will try!! i was sound to sleep in bed. the next thing I know is .. someone was standing over me choking me to death. I was screaming the whole time and I could see myself struggling to get my hubbys attention.l then got up and was running down the hall and the guy was chasing me.He had a knife in his hand and was gaining on me as the hallway was going to the kitchen.I went to the shelf and grabbed the rolling pin and hit him over the head.i went back to my room to find that I was still in my bed struggling in my sleep. I went and layed back in my body and then I was still screaming. finally my hubby was awake and i had to have him go look in the kitchen to find that someone had been there. still can’t explain what or who was there.

Wow. Wonder if that was more Hitchcock or Kubrick.

You could have been sleepwalking while having a lucid dream. Never heard of it before but it would be awesome.

OR

Your story’s true. Someone broke in, attacked you in your bed without waking your husband. Chased you. You knocked him out then went back to bed and he ran off after waking up. You’re out-of-body could have been your brain dealing with the trauma.

OR

Its unexplainable.

I don’t know what had happened. but I know the cops didn’t see any signs of a break in.

I was once lying in bed and started feeling a fluttering or vibration sort of like a warm bout of the chills. Then I was floating up near the ceiling looking down at myself in bed.

I didn’t really know how to move around and kind of kept bumping into the wall and ceiling. Then I snapped back into my body feeling a bit disoriented.

I got a similar floating sensation a couple of times while I was walking to the bus stop when I was working in Manhattan.

Not sure what to call those experiences, but they seem like out of body experiences.

FYI, those are called “dreams”, and everyone has them.

rossi_bear's avatar

@mritty.. no they are different from dreams!!! ever had an outer body experience? two differant things. what fireside has experienced is an outer body one.

MrItty's avatar

No, I haven’t. And neither have you, and neither has fireside. You’ve all had dreams.

rossi_bear's avatar

@mrritty… yes it was. i was awake for the first one driving down the road in N.H. you just don’t know what you are talking about because you have never had one!!!

Trustinglife's avatar

@MrItty, Have you looked into it? The Wiki article made me doubt that it’s always completely made up, as you assert. What makes you so sure?

rossi_bear's avatar

@trustinglife…. thank you!!! see proof is all there mritty!!!

MrItty's avatar

You were not awake for the first one. You fell asleep at the wheel and had a dream, then you woke up.

Trusting, I have no need to justify what makes me so “sure”. It’s idiotic and ridiculous. It is as believable as ghosts, Santa Clause, and leprechauns. What makes you “so sure” that someting metaphysical is happening?

rossi_bear's avatar

@mtitty.. you need to go back and read my first one!!! i was not asleep! i was fully awake!

MrItty's avatar

I read it. Your assertion that you were awake means absolutely 0. You were asleep. You had what is known as a “lucid dream”, in which you are fully conscious and aware and able to control the direction of the dream.

But whatever. I’m obviously not going to convince anyone who believes in the supernatural, any more than you’re going to convince me that fairies and pixies sprinkle sunshine to make the flowers grow. I’m content to leave the disagreement here, because we’re just going in circles.

rossi_bear's avatar

@mritty, how the do you know? FYI.. i was awake going to my grandparents home,. til of have had one of your own you will never know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MrItty's avatar

Thanks for proving my point. I’m not going to convince you, and you’re not going to convince me.

Bye.

One I smoked a bunch of salvia divinorum 40X (extract) and had two crazy out of body experiences. I saw, or felt, the buildings that were surrounding my body. One time the building felt closer to me then my own skin; another time I looked down on the building from about 2,000 feet up in the air. Then it felt as though a vacuum cleaner ‘sucked my soul’ back into my body. That’s when my friend’s had to describe what my body did while ‘I’ was flying around.

rossi_bear's avatar

@seeker.. i know just how you felt. mine was the same way, and we was fully awake like i was trying to tell mritty. glad to see that there are more out there that have had one too.

MrItty's avatar

hahahah. You’re using a drug user’s trip-induced hallucinations as corroboration? Really?

rossi_bear's avatar

no, mritty i wasn’t. i missed that part. lol oops.
