How can i put my music back into my iTunes Library?

I just moved all my music onto an external hard drive and iTunes erased it all from my library! what would be the most effective way to have it all reinserted it without having to add every folder in one by one?

Select File -> Add to Library… -> Select the folder containing your music, and click OK. iTunes will re-import everything.

iTunes—> File—> Add to Library… (pick the whole drive)

@Richard: that was the route i really didn’t want to take… i have about 45 Gigabytes of music all in one overall folder, but split into many subfolders by artist and then by cd.

Also tell iTunes “Keep my music folder organized” and it will do all the work for you.
