… Unless you don’t celebrate Christmas. In which case, Happy Holidays and enjoy the night out!

I was getting very sleepy, and then at 3:30AM someone knocked on my backdoor, scaring the shit out of me! It was my husband’s old roommate. So…hubby’s still sound asleep and I am now WIDE AWAKE. Hmph.

He already passed here on the east coast! I got lots of presents. Yay!!!

I can’t sleep! I’m at work right now at 2:19 a.m. in Phoenix and I don’t get to go home until 6 a.m. I hope Santa enjoyed the cookies I left him! :o)

@Eambos: You open presents before 4:30 in the morning? And I thought my kids were into early Christmas mornings!

I assume it’s dead of night in America, it’s 10.25 here. Santa brought me a Scrabble (in Polish, which I can’t speak at all), and a CD of Polish music. Both a bit pointless if you think I have to leave the country now. Oh, and he took my kid for a ride on his sleigh. Gotta catch the b***** now…

My Mr. Santa and I just finished filling stockings. It’s 1:45 a.m. here. I can’t outstay the kids any more. They just have to look the other way and wait until morning. I’m on my way to bed at last.

Last year I asked them if they really still wanted to hang stockings. They are both over 21. They said, “Are you kidding, Mum? We’d be crazy to say no.”

This has been one of my favorite parts of Christmas for as long as I’ve been a parent. By the time they are filling stocking after midnight, though, it will definitely stop.

It’s nearly 10AM (25th) here, so….‘santa’ already visited :D

Well its 9:20 on the 25th here so santa’s been and gone and i’ve just finished a full day of gorging myself on vast amounts of food!

Who are you santa?

Santa's avatar

I’m Santa.

joeysefika's avatar

I’m not supposed to talk to strangers… Shouldn’t you know, you’re santa… next stop God

This santa sounds creepy To answer the main Q – Being awake @ 5:30 am is perfectly normal for me during winter break….sadly. Oh, and I think Santa came early for me this year. Like November early.

Santa is creepy? COAL FOR YOU

Oh, and it’s morning here. Morning! I just finished wrapping presents actually. I’m punctual like that.

I am just about to wake up my SO so I can give him the gifts I got him. I talked him into opening two right after midnight, but he said no more until at least 6, so I am going to wake him, give him his gifts, then catch some zzzs! I’ll open mine later when I get up.

LKidKyle1985's avatar

ah I went to bed at 10pm and because my biological clock is crazy I woke up at 5am lol. So I am just chillin till I get a little more tired and everyone else feels like waking up.

90s_kid's avatar

I went to midnight mass.

arnbev959's avatar

I didn’t get to bed until 4 last night. I was up making 9 dozen gingerbread cookies, a pecan pie, and eggnog bread, and a gallon of eggnog.

I did, however, get to sleep until noon today. Now it’s off to Grandma’s house. Merry Christmas.

Hannukah Harry is in the house too. I’ve been busy for the past 4 days, and now, on the 5th day, am ready to join forces with Santa to spread joy and mirth throughout Flutherland! Mazal Tov!

moonlight's avatar

@HannukahHarry, actually it’s still the 4th day. The 5th day will begin at sundown.

shilolo's avatar

@moonlight. In Israel, it is the 5th night already. Don’t be such a plotka-macher.

omfgTALIjustIMDu's avatar

@shilolo, Yes, but I’m willing to bet there are way more people in the U.S. than in Israel who use Fluther (including you), and in the U.S. it is the 4th day for a few more hours. Don’t rush the end of Channukah!

Jeruba's avatar

@Santa and Harry, thanks for all the gift-wrapped lurve! I’ll bet it didn’t weigh your sleighs down at all. I’ll bet it made them light enough to fly.
