Google Search engine with site map?

Asked by johnny0313x (1855points) December 31st, 2008

Here is what I mean, there are certain sites that come up with all the main links under their search name. Does anyone know how they achieve this’?

You can see the example of what i am trying to figure out at the top circled in a smaller red line and VS. the normal display of sites on good in the thick red line.

I believe this starts by submitting a sitemap to google through their webmaster tools…

http://www.google.com/webmasters/tour/tour4.html - quick overview of their webmaster tools (this page mentions the sitemap)
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/docs/en/protocol.html - the specifics of how they'd like to receive the sitemap
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/docs/en/sitemap-generator.html - information on their sitemap generator

Although they only seem to show this for top results regardless, so being ranked highly may have to come first. The sitemap definitely won’t hurt you in that department though.
