What should I do/see in Orange County, California?

Asked by anonyjelly16 (747points) September 16th, 2007

I currently live in Orange County (which is about 40 miles south of Los Angeles and about 80 miles north of San Diego) in Southern California. I may have to leave this area and move out of state next August. So, what should I do/see while I still have the opportunity to do so?

If you have small kids or act like a small kid: Legoland is a bit farther south but so worth the drive. Carlsbad is my new favorite SoCal town. Great food, great beaches.

Huntington Beach, Newport Beach are great to visit.
For that totally souther californian mall shopping experience, Irvine Spectrum Center and Fashion Island. Spectrum had this gigantic farris wheel that you could ride. They have some good places to eat there too.
