Desperado does it for me,such a moving song.

None, to be honest…

I can only pick one? I would have say I can’t tell you why; only because it brings back the most memories. Of a time when you swore artists wrote/sang the lyrics just for you; youth intensifies all those lovelorn emotions to such an alarming degree. But I agree with Oasis, I’d be hard pressed to name an Eagles song I really didn’t like.

@jazz,why answer, such a negative statement.Sad very sad.@bythebay,it’s all top quality stuff, your right with the youth theme, isongs just launch you right back in time and you wonder where it all went.

oasis: Not only where it went, but how did it go so fast?!?

New Kid in Town, but I love many of them

I just happened to have saved Hotel California onto my iPod, that’s about the only Eagles song I know :P

Already gone is a good one, kind of upbeat tempo. hotel california: a true classic. The Eagles have a lot of good songs, i don’t know all of them off hand but they were around for a long time.

I love the Eagles.. It reminds me of when I used to go camping when I was little, but my favorite, I’d have to agree with Oasis it would be Desperado, it brings back the most memories…

But I love love love playing Hotel California on Guitar Hero…

<3 the Eagles! But ‘Take it to the Limit’ is one of my favorites.

One of these Nights

Desperado

Seven Bridges Road (excellent harmonies)

Well, I’m standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona…

Take It Easy
Desperado
Hotel California.

All three are my top choice. For different reasons.

Anyone seen the scene in In America where the little girl sings Desperado? I love her version.

Why why? I answered the question which Eagles song is my favourite and I simply don’t have a favourite Eagles song. It’s an answer and sure, it’s a negative answer since I don’t have one, but why is it sad? Sad that I don’t have one? Perhaps. Or sad that you have so many? :)

Another vote for Desperado.

I have a soft spot for “Journey of the Sorcerer,” Bernie Leadon’s instrumental track on “One of these Nights.” It was used as the theme to the BBC radio drama “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” back in the ‘70s/‘80s.

Apart from that, dodging the misogyny and mediocre filler songs, “Bitter Creek” on “Desperado” is great stuff.

Take It To The Limit

…one more tiiiiiiiiiiiime…! Weeee-eeee-ooooo!

I like how they harmonize on that track, and I love Henley’s falsetto. It’s one of the few Eagles’ tunes I like at all, frankly.

@april,ones enough.

When I was growing up, “Greatest Hits, 1971–1975” was constantly on my parent’s RCA hi-fi (tube-amplified) console stereo.

I was an orchestra geek though, and I kept turning it off and putting on Beethoven and Mozart. No parts for the viola in Eagles songs.

Now, though, hearing “Tequila Sunrise” “Take it Easy,” and “Already Gone” takes me back home…I love Glenn Frey’s voice. “Witchy Woman” still scares me.

I have to give votes to Lyin’ Eyes & Desperado. I’ve always loved the Eagles I play their greatest hits CD a lot.

I agree with Lebowski, “The Eagles suck”. But the spanish version of Hotel California in the movie is pretty sweet and that was actually the first live concert I saw (on the Hell Freezes Over tour), but I was young and I had no idea what good music was. They are certainly talented and have made their mark, just not for me.

*They do have a version of “Spirit in the Sky” that I would choose if I had to

Im not a huge Eagles fan but I took my boyfriend at the time to see them for his b-day and when they Played Desperado I was stunned its an amazing song especially hearing it live. Also Lying Eyes is another great one.
