You are very welcome, BronxLens. I know the prices can vary wildly so if need be, make sure you comparison shop.

I don’t mean to be a meanie, but these things are totally overdone, incredibly wasteful, and often contain PVC, a known toxin. Is there another item you could use that might be more environmentally friendly and unique? If it’s for an art project, it sounds like you could do something a little more interesting that might make your overall project even more exciting.

That’s the point. Overused & cliche consumer products can be so effective to comment/convey the irony of mass consumption of products catered to us to make us feel unique, but I’m always open to suggestions @EmilyRose

I think it may have been more effective a couple of years ago when the trend began. I have seen at walgreens little plastic tubs at the register with all kinds of bracelets with meaningless messages on them. Can you tell us a little bit more about the project? There are some incredibly creative people on fluther who may have some cool and different ideas.
