Forwarding mail?

Asked by kfingerman (1012points) January 3rd, 2009

I got mail for a previous tenant. Do I just write “forward to:...” somewhere on the envelope and it’ll get there or is there some trick to this?

I usually just write “Return to sender, recipient no longer at this address.” and leave it in the mailbox.

Elvis should do what? (shhh)

@gail: Return to Sender!

I have an unhealthy obsession with Elvis.

@asmonet,at least you’re up to speed.

@oasis: When it concerns The King I am always up to speed. :D

I changed the link to a better video. :)

@gail,i had to edit to accommodate.your welcome

to clarify, I don’t want to return to sender, I know the forwarding address and it looks important.

oasis's avatar

Well put the damned thing in another envelope and post it!

The mail service won’t pay for that. You’ll either need to write on the address and pay for postage, or return it to the sender.

@kfinger,and pay postage.

@kid: It’s from the movie Girls! Girls! Girls! released in 1962.

But, richardhenry outsnarked me.

I love that video, cause in the subtitles halfway through it says he sends the letter “SPECIAL D”. lawls. Engrish.
