Anyone walk like a ghost?

Asked by coffeenut (6171points) January 7th, 2009

I know someone that doesn’t make a sound when they walk, no matter what footware they have on or what they are walking on(except light ice)
he always makes me jump when I dont know where he is(I’m not the only one he makes jump)

Kind of, I just float inches above the ground.
I learned from Dusty, she is a full floating roaming vapor.

I’m as pale as a ghost. Does that count?

I can walk that way, it’s just adjusting your legs and feet to absorb the weight a different way and distribute it evenly. That said, no I don’t. Too much work, I’d rather scuff up my Chucks.

You may want to talk to this person. He is, apparently, “part shade”.

@Hobbes: Sometimes, I miss those users. For the jokes.

I’d agree with you (he was pretty funny), but I actually know a couple of people who share his personality, so he brings back bad memories, needless to say.

@Hobbes: Trust me, I understand all too well. :-/

Native Americans had moccasins which, paired with the fact that they had always lived in the wilderness, made it so that they could walk veeeeeeery quietly.

After years of marching band sometimes I do this unintentionally because of the “roll step”. It’s often funny because I startle people when it’s not my intention.

I also walk up the not carpeted hardwood floor stairs silently.
