Help with finding a book?

I’m trying to remember the name of a book I read in the early 80’s. I don’t remember the title or the author; I thought it was Dream Weaver, but that does not seem to be right.

I do remember many details from the book…

The main character was a woman who’s father recently died. As she was driving down the freeway, had a nervous break down and left her car. She ran into the woods, eventualy passing out. Eventually, a set of twins (one of which is a mute) find the woman and take her to their village…
