Cause now i am scrambling to hit mute, find my earphones, or sift through all the tabs just to either
A. Have it crash on me or
II. Have someone yell at me if I am not ninja to find the right tab.
3. Have someone sit down and break everything

I read a really interesting article in a magazine a while ago, I can’t recall what magazine it was but it dealt with how the internet might, and very well most likely is, changing how we consume information, as in how we sort through and store information. It said that it’s quite common for us to now quickly scan articles, read by-lines, or summaries rather than actually sit and read through an entire essay, while some people will save long articles intending to read them later while never actually getting around to it.

The point being is that you’re going to close the tabs anyway, so if you’ve watched a video, read through a website and gleaned whatever value you were digging for, why not just close the tab after you’ve moved on?

Usually if I find I have a bunch of tabs open, by the time I decide to quit browsing the early tabs have lost a lot of relevance to what I’m thinking about by then.

@Jamspoon: I am with you, I usually have a bout 70 tabs open, a lot of fluther, googling, wikipedia, and random stuff. By the time I go back, I don’t even remember what brought me to the first few. :(

Seriously, though, I don’t understand how you could need 70 or even 30 tabs open at once.. I mean, there’s only so much info your eyes and brain can take in at once.. Why leave so much open rather than just open and close things as you go?

One thing I failed to mention is that…. I used to do it on 3 monitors all hooked up to the one computer sometimes 2 computers….

Only justifiable point I can make really, is art reference. While working on a project.
