What is a good excersize that affects the entire body? Sections and stuff.

Asked by invic (110points) January 17th, 2009

I am 16 and i am on the pretty chunky side. i haven’t worked out or lifted weights in a year and all of my upper body is gone. mush. That sums it up. I am about 5’11’’ weighing at around 220lbs and i want to start working out again but my whole body and not just biceps orcalphs. I’d like to know whats the best workout for a specific part. one for each, tricep, bisep, thighs, calphs, abs, side-abs, shoulder muscles, ect. I try to look for them on the web but i have to pay to see the workouts and that aint cool. Also i would ike to learn how to get my buttox back. aint as firm as it was as a child. what a shame. haha :)

Get a punching bag and some gloves. It’s fun and a good workout for many body parts.

SQUATS!!!! Squats exercise 240 muscles of the body, including calfs, soleus, abs, quadriceps, hamstrings, trapezius, and yes, even the butt, especially the butt.

Do progressive overload. Start off with something challenging, and then if it gets easy, do something harder and more intense. There is no need for weights in the beginning, but once you find it’s easy without weights, get some and go up 5 pounds every time it gets easy.

DO THEM PROPERLY!! If they aren’t done properly, it won’t work.

I’m with mtl_zack, squats are awesome.

Weights are fine with them, but you could also use dumbbells too, and do some arm exercises with them in between squat sets. That way, your arms are getting a nice workout too. :)

I would seriously consider doing some yoga – beginner level obviously. It gives you a good all round body workout and tones you up, whilst not being too hard on your heart. I find that its also very relaxing and as tough as it is as times, if you breathe correctly can work wonders without you having to puff and pant. and it does actually burn more calories than you think in the long run, because you’re toning and creating more muscle mass I always thought i couldn’t do Yoga because i wasn’t very flexible, but this is not the case at all… there are easy yet effective moves that everyone can do.

Masturbation, jogging and diet. You’ll breeze towards 18 trim, tone and feeling good.

I’m with @judochop here. Regular cardio and less calories and you’ll lose some of the excess fat and the muscles will be easier to see.

Swimming. It is the best cardio work-out without stressing joints (like running). It works every part of your body and can be done almost anywhere during any weather because so many fitness places (like YMCA or college centers) offer indoor pools with lap swimming times each day. To supplement swimming, you could lift weights, walk, jump-rope, stretch, and incorporate yoga or pilates. Definitely make sure to regulate your diet though, because you only loose weight if you burn more calories than you consume each day. But, sometimes it isn’t weight which is important – so don’t get stuck on that. As you begin to work-out more, you might turn some extra fat into muscle, so you’ll be more fit and healthy, but might actually have a weight gain since muscle weighs more than fat.
