4 Pin s-video to rca?

ok so, im trying to connect my laptop to my tv using a 4 pin S-video to rca (yellow white red connectors). I have a nvidia Geforce 8400 gs graphics card, im running vista, and i have a HP Pavillion dv6700

Though i have 3GB of ram, not 2.

I have no idea how to configure this dispite looking on the net for the past few days. Can anyone help?

The connector you need has a s-video on one end and just the yellow connector on the other end. I always keep a few around. I could probably take a picture if you needed.

The audio will actually come from a 1/8th inch to rca adapter.

The s-video component only carries video.

You need two adapters to do what you are asking.

You probably get them both at radio shack. When in doubt, just google it

so the one i have, are the two audio connectors just useless or is the whole cable worthless you think?

and if it isnt then what do i have to do to get it to show up on the tv? (I can take care of the audio problem separately)

What cable do you have? I’ve re-read the question a couple of times and I can’t figure it out.
