What's a cheap way to record and organize many digital audio files?

For those of us still awake with not a lot to do…
Any ideas?
I need to record several hundred vocal tracks. So far, I’ve been using a USB mic and Audacity on my Mac. It isn’t foolproof, though, and takes a lot of organization.

Use iTunes for recording. No matter how you do the recording it’s going to take time. But use your Mac’s Automater to to organize the tunes. This will save you days of work.

Oh holy fuck it’s 5AM. Thanks for making me notice. I have to pass the hell out now. I have nothing to contribute.

Don’t forget the hand grenades & landmines in the bed.
