What is the best website to buy cheap car parts off of?

Asked by onesecondregrets (2591points) January 21st, 2009

Hit a deer a year ago. I let my problems ride generally, this one because of money mostly. But I want to finally replace the headlight (not busted, the wiring/bulb no longer work is the problem) and the blinker (shattered but the bulb works) as well, both for the driver’s side. It’s a ‘96 Honda Accord. Cheap and trustworthy is what I need!

ebay

i killed my tail lights on a truck a wile back. The toyota manufacture wanted to bend me over for $125. hit up ebay for a few days, found a mint pair for $35, from some dude in ohio that ran a chop shop.

Or just do a google search for 90s model Honda parts and check each website for prices – that is, if you want to spend the time to do so. A lot of websites are make-specific. I have a website which has cheaper new parts for my car, but it’s not a Honda. Also – check auto yards in your area. If you know what you’re looking for exactly, you can just walk in, ask if they have any mid-90s Hondas – if yes, then you can go take whatever you want off of them and they’ll tell you the price. Much cheaper than paying for shipping, etc. online.

There is no good website for that. You could try E-bay, but you’ll not likely find manufacturer parts, just upgrades. Go to a junk yard, accords are pretty common. Take someone semi knowledgeable on cars with you though, as junk yards are known to price gauge. It also wouldn’t hurt to have a copy of what the parts would cost from the dealer.
