Could you help me with my iPhone?

Asked by BoyWonder (811points) January 21st, 2009

The screen won’t come on but when you plug it in USB, it reads through iTunes. This happened all of a sudden, I didn’t drop my iphone, nothing…I’ve had it over a year now. What should I do?

Restore it. If that doesn’t work, take it into the Apple Store.

but i’ll lose everything!

No you won’t as long as your phone is backed up in your computer. Whenever you plug it in it backs up. You will lose your texts or anything you added since you last plugged it into your computer. I mean, your options are stare at a blank screen and not be able to use it at all, or possibly fix it but lose a few things. It might not help at all if your phone is broke.

Seriously.
Restore it through itunes. or try and copy all the contact data through your computer. a simple cut and paste should suffice.
