What does the UL in a circle on electronics mean?

I once learned this, but forgot i believe it stands for… oh I just remembered the answer from typing this out. Hah

yup underwriters labratories. I’d love to work there. Just imagine being able to test product and pretty much destroy them to see how safe they are. (or atleast that what i vision would go on there)
