how do you get your iPhone to ring when you receive text messages?

it makes a noise for a second, but I wanted it to ring.

once you update your firmware to1.1.1 through itunes….settings, sounds,new text message..then pick sound

The only option I see is: On your iPhone, go to Settings – Sounds – New Text Message and choose a new sound.
