How many religions does India have? Only non-Indians answer?

The two main, broad religions are Hinduism and Buddhism. Both contain many separate sects within them.

There’s Jains and Sikhs, as well, that I know of. Christianity, Islam and Judaism also have
followers.

” Only non-Indians answer? ” uhhhhh what? This isnt some site where you try and stump the collective….. the point is to get to the correct answer. And well im willing to bet that indians shouuuuuuuuld know this. So why dont you want their answers?

Even if us non-Indians don’t know, it’s a fairly definitive search via google or wikipedia.

Indians have about as many religions as everyone else. Hinduism may have a large number of deities, but the number of belief systems is surely equal to the number of people, which means that we’re all the same.
