What's the point of Bluetooth on the iPhone?

Asked by gooch (5749points) September 30th, 2007 from iPhone

What good is Bluetooth on the iPhone? The only thing I have been able to do with it is hook up my earbud. You cant swap files with other phones to my knowledge.

the Bluetooth is for headsets. Like many other cellphones, thats the extent of the bluetooth stack at this time.

Yea bluetooth for iPhone is pretty useless at this point for anything other than phone conversations. There is a round about hack for streaming music using visual voicemail, but even that’s a pain. Hopefully with a future update we’ll be able to do more with it.
