Can you help me find examples of social media being used to promote film festivals and/or award shows?

I’ve been Googling away but this is something that’s not necessarily easy to find with a search – I’m looking for uses of social media by large appeal entertainment events like film festivals and award shows. i.e. From a conventional blog to even If the Emmy’s had Twitter, or a YouTube channel for one of those suites where they give celebrities things, etc.

Search under Cause Marketing or try a California company, Kompolt. They use social media quite a bit and there are examples on their Web site.

When you search under the name of the film festival you are interested in, combined with the social media agency you are interested in, you don’t get anything?

Did you say blogs? I just googled “Sundance film festival twitter” and came up with this. Also, it wasn’t a direct hit, but another hit did lead me to the official sundance twitter. Here’s the google search terms I used.

@daloon Thanks muchos! Sorry I literally had no sleep that day and was searching for the generic ‘festival social media’, etc. Searching by large events (i.e. Emmys, Sundance) then adding the social media keywords is getting the results I need.

This blog post was a great starting point for me on doing some initial research about marketing in social networking media for these kinds of events.

I’m glad it helped.
