Where can I find great independant short film?

Very similar to the ones found on iTunes. Is this the way one is to get the independent short films? Are DVD’s of quality short films made? Even better, are there any “YouTube“s of short film libraries? Thanks.

I don’t know the ones found on iTunes, but Elephants Dream is a beautiful 3D animation film of about 10 minutes that has a DVD available. Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but I suppose there’s no harm in mentioning ;-)
(And the film’s story is a bit confusing, too)
For a website try Atom Films www.atomfilms.com. If you’re interested in good internalional feature films and shorts join Film Movement www.filmmovement.com. They send you a DVD (which you own) every month with a new international film and a short. Most of the films have been seen at major film festivals and the some of the shorts have ended up nominated for Oscars. It may seem expensive but Film Movement is one way of seeing films that rarely get released in the US – even in NY or LA. I think you might also be able to get some Film Movement films from Netflix.
stage6.com has a pretty good collection of short indie films that are in the best possible quality you can find online
Try the Independent Film Channel website, ifc.com . You can’t get them to your ipod, but you can watch them on your laptop. They have some great ones.
