New iPod nano losing menu settings -- anyone else?

Asked by jeffporten (91points) October 6th, 2007

Have a new iPod nano (the stubby one with video) which loses its custom menu settings every time I sync. I.e., I want my music playlists to appear in the top menu—after I sync, I have to go through the Music menu to get there. Anyone else with this problem or a fix?

Apple released a firmware update for the new Nano and “Classic” iPods earlier today; it should be detected and installed by iTunes. Try using it to “restore” your Nano. If that doesn’t fix your issue, you are well within your warranty period—contact Apple for a replacment.
