What does Observing Members mean?

Asked by Bri_L (12219points) February 8th, 2009

What does the number represent? Aside from the obvious sex jokes.

It’s the number of people who are watching the thread but aren’t writing a response.

Once (if) they start writing a response, their number switches from “Observing” to “Composing” and then back again once they hit “Answer.”

It’s the number of people who are watching you via your webcam using a hack of the Homeland Security backdoor program.

This has already been answered, but I’ll just engrave it in stone:
It shows how many people are looking at this question. It will always say “1 person” because it is including you as an “observing member”.

If you are a member, does your name have to be Dick?

Jayne's avatar

Erm…what does that make the donut holes? I’m scared to eat them now.
