I want to make a viral video for my business. How do I promote my video online?

Besides just posting the video on YouTube, what does one do to promote and increase the views of a viral video? Can you post the video elsewhere? If so, where? Or Is it something that just has to happen on its own or what can you do to contribute to the video “taking off”?

It has to be interesting or entertaining. or provide valuable content that your customers and potential customers will find interesting.
