It would help to have more information:

-By ‘can’t find’ do you mean that the iMac doesn’t show the linksys network in the Airport menu? (That’s the menu showing radio waves in the menubar near the clock, or you can use ‘Internet Connect’ in the Applications folder)

-Are there other computers on the Linksys router working properly right now? Has the router worked before or is this the first time you set it up?

-How far is the iMac from the Linksys base? Does it work if you move it extremely close or connect it by wire?

There are some general things you can try:

-Restart the iMac. Restart the Linksys router as well by unplugging it and plugging it in again.

-On the Mac try the the network diagnostics program. Open it by going to the Apple menu > System Preferences… > Network and then click the ‘Assist Me’ button at the bottom of the panel and click ‘Diagnostics…’

-Linksys’ website also has a troubleshooting wizard although if other computers are on the router then the problem is probably on the iMac’s end.
