where’s “the founding of christianity” ? that’s what i would erase, well actually, any religion for that matter

Anatelostaxus's avatar

I’ll add a few more… very important..

You didn’t list this, but I would kind of be happy if we somehow could have not had Hitler kill the Jews (and all the other groups in tried to destroy as well), but that’s related to the whole history of anti-Semitism from the beginning of history, the notion of scape-goating, the disaster that followed WW!, people’s hatred of others rooted not only in their societies but also in their own miserable lives, etc. So, while there really is no way to modify the past, that would be one of the things I would like to see not have happened. There are other things as well, though.

I’m with iwamoto. Delete religion from history and I will show you a better world.

I nominate “dawn of agriculture.” It would solve so many problems…

Blondesjon's avatar

@laureth…Especially overpopulation.

tb1570's avatar

Yup, get rid of organized religion.

Oh, and I think you should add “the invention on the internal combustion engine” to your list…

Anatelostaxus's avatar

@Blondesjon @laureth @tb1570 @johnpowell @skfinkel iwamoto I add globalisation, overpopulation and consumism to the list…

I would delete the Holocaust.

I wouldn’t remove any. History is an important part of human existence. I would contest that the destruction of the Library at Alexandria was a worse travesty to humanity than any instance of genocide in human history. Those instances serve a valuable purpose if we can learn from our mistakes.

I’d un-enact the 17th Amendment. That would erase most of the giant steps the Federal government has been taking into areas where it is prohibited by the Constitution from going.

Anatelostaxus's avatar

@Bluefreedom indeed, friend we agree.
@Sorceren hah! yes that too.. but more simply I’d undo the whole hypocrisy the government lays upon (bureaucratically).. actually that all governments lay upon.. Perhaps I’d erase the supremacy of Masonry on global society .. if it’s true that they control governments like puppets..
