Awesome Japanese buisness where you break stuff?

Asked by Waffle (248points) February 15th, 2009

I’m looking for a video that showed up on Attack of the Show. They had a piece on this place in Japan where you can pay a sum of cash to break everything in a small room.

Anyone know anything about this?

This isn’t in Japan, but it sounds like it’s similar to what you are talking about – http://www.smashshack.com/

During the Japanese “lost decade”, the recession era 90’s, anxious salarymen who were heavily stressed out by corporate restructuring could stop by small stalls, usually near outdoor drinking pubs, and smash plates, glasses and other used crockery. It was primarily a Tokyo thing and was a short lived fad.
