What are some advantages and disadvantages of alternative work arangements?

I have lots of thoughts about this, but I need you to be more specific. What kind of alternative work arrangements are you thinking of?

Some advantages are that you don’t have to work like everyone else – the work becomes alternative, as not everyone enjoys country or hard rock. Disadvantages are that alternative work bleeds into your lifestyle, which risks turning you towards an alternative lifestyle, unless you’re already homosexual in which case you risk veering into heterosexuality.

I telecommuted for about a year. I thought I’d love it, but in truth it kind of sucked. I found myself working all throughout the day and night, whenever I had a chunk of time to do it.
