Why is the sound going in and out on my tv?

This just started tonight. We have a Trutech (a Korean brand) and the sound just started going in and out while watching 60 Minutes. My wife and I don’t watch nearly enough tv to justify buying a new tv right now. Any ideas why this might be happening? And how I can fix it to avoid buying a new tv?
