You’d have to look at the admissions requirements for the school you want to enter. Any answer we gave you here would be guesswork.

Talk to your school counselor if you are not sure how to do that.

Social work is a very noble line of work to get into. Good for you! Like Jeruba said, your counselor or university rep will be able to easily answer your question. Good luck!

Please go ask your school counselor. They are there to help you out with these issues, as they vary from school to school and program to program.

You could probably even look up the school’s requirements online. Most schools only require 3 years in high school, although you might want to go up to precalc if that’s what you’ll be taking your 4th year.

You’re already a senior in high school… Isn’t it a bit too late to choose the right courses for college acceptance? You’re already in the last semester before college…

Pretty much all SW programs require statistics.

@tinyfaery:

No college is going to require that people have taken statistics in high school! That’s insane! They will certainly require the person to complete a statistics class at part of the major while at the college, but the OP was asking about the math it must have taken in high school in order to be accepted into a university’s social worker program. I went to an extremely prestigious private high school, and we were one of very few schools in the area that offered an AP Statistics course at the time. And there were very few of us who even got to take the AP Stat course because of other course conflicts. As far as I know, there are not high school courses in statistics other than AP courses, and no regular college could require someone to have taken AP courses in high school.

So, I respectfully disagree with your assessment.

Excuse me. I meant that it’s required for the degree. Thanks for cramming it down my throat.

I didn’t mean to come off like that!
