When you stop being a teenager.

girl teenagers are always asking questions like this, and being over dramatic, it should pass, just sayin’

Ahhh, teenage angst, how I (don’t) miss it.

They dont. ;)

Guys don’t grow up, but in my experience girls don’t either, so it’s all good.

When do they grow up? Never. They’re like big kids, but some girls are too. My boyfriend and I are great examples of that. I’m 19, he’s 23. We love to play around, play games, whatever.
Growing up is one thing. Acting mature is another.
Anyone can be mature and still act like a kid, as long as it’s at the right place and time, and all in good fun, who cares.

There are too many variables – some guys mature young, some guys never.

Some guys grow up at 18, when they find out boot camp (or college) isn’t as easy as they thought it would be. Some guys grow up around age 25, which means they begin to be able to do what they are supposed to rather than only what feels good at the time. Some guys grow up at 35. Some guys grow up when their first child is put into their arms. Some guys never grow up but can still behave appropriately and maturely.

And some guys never grow up, period.

Come on girls, you’re exagerrating. I have many friends who grew up by the age of 50, some even as early as 35 or so. Ok, so we’re not in a hurry like women are, but we do eventually get there…

When they decide to.

Did you just get dumped? A lot of your questions are geared toward this.

LouisianaGirl's avatar

@Triiiple dang man that hurt me and I aint never been dumped!!!

MrMeltedCrayon's avatar

I don’t think s/he meant to be insulting, but s/he does have a point. Her questions do point toward relationship trouble of some kind.

LouisianaGirl's avatar

But usually girls just want to know. Maybe she is just curious and wants to help keep her relationship alive!!!

Nicole18's avatar

thank-you @LouisianaGirl – shes actually right

MrMeltedCrayon's avatar

Well then, I apologize. But with a question like “When do boys grow up?” you have to admit that our assumptions really weren’t that far of a stretch.

Triiiple's avatar

I am a he and thats exactly why i was asking.

If you dont think your boyfriend is grown up, maybe you should be asking “How do i let a boy down gently?”

Nicole18's avatar

well.. all the guys i know are really childish. so i just wanted to know if it will ever change

chelseababyy's avatar

@Nicole18 Then they’re not guys, they’re BOYS.

Darwin's avatar

@Nicole18 – How old are these guys? In high school most girls are definitely more mature than most boys, but the ratio gets more even as you get in older.

Nicole18's avatar

no there in their 20’s

Triiiple's avatar

Girls arent more mature in high school they just say they are, but break their hearts and theyll show you how mature they are.

chelseababyy's avatar

@Nicole18 Then find some new friends.
And, what exactly are they doing that isn’t “grown up”?

Nicole18's avatar

when were in the city they pretend there handie capped and im there mother.

MrMeltedCrayon's avatar

Take it from someone who frequents a college campus, guys being immature in their twenties is nothing new nor special. On the other hand, I see just as many women acting with the same amount of immaturity as I do guys. They tend to just go about it and express it in different ways. I still hold to the theory that people in general, not males, not females, have a difficult time “growing up.”

If their little games of pretend bother you, tell them that and don’t play along with it.

Triiiple's avatar

@Nicole18 Maybe your just being a little to serious about it and their trying to lighten up the mood? Some people might take things to far as jokes go but thats when youd have to put them in there place.

Making fun of handicapped people is pretty dumb though. Id walk the other way.

Please be more specific with your questions. It’s difficult answering such genrealities.

onesecondregrets's avatar

Nobody ever grows up. Male or female.

Darwin's avatar

Eventually we all stop growing up. Then most of us start growing out. And finally, we all start growing back down again, much to the dismay of our children.

LouisianaGirl's avatar

@Nicole18 thank you for agreeing with me. I`ll send you a comment!!!
